May 8, 2008 - Thursdays used to be pretty busy days for Ellie and I after work, but now that she is not in school it is a good night to get to do stuff. We went to the gym after work, and then on the way home picked up some steak and vegetables and chicken at Surf and Turf. I went home and started marinating the meat and vegetables in a honey teriyaki sauce, and then Mike came over to play disc golf. While the food was marinating, we played a quick round at Taylor. On the way back we stopped at Cork and Olive. It is right next to the Publix I usually go to for groceries, and I had never been in there before because it looked like all they sold was expensive wines. I was pleased to see most of their inventory was in the $10-15 range. Mike bought a bottle after we tested a 'green pepper like' wine, and we went home. I cooked up dinner, and it was delicious. The wine was not so good though. We had bought a bottle the guy recommended, a Malbec/Cab blend. It wasn't one of the ones he was offering up for the tasting this evening so we hadn't gotten to try it before buying it.
