May 16, 2008 - Man, if you look at my credit card bill, today was a junky day...Taco Bell, Wendys, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, and Mama Fu's. Let's see if I can do the play by play. Dunkin Donuts was my breakfast. I hit up Burger King for lunch while I was out running errands, and then for dinner I had Wendy's while on my way to a gig over in Brandon. On the way home I stopped at Taco Bell to pick up some midnite snacks for Ellie and I. That leaves Mama Fu's for Ellie, which she had for dinner. The gig was at the Elks Lodge. It's been a long time since I've been inside a private lounge like this. I used to go to the Moose Lodge and the VFW all the time with my dad and grandpa when I was growing up. You have to either be a member or know someone inside to get into the building. I had a hard time getting inside the building tonight and I was providing the entertainment! The place reeked of 'private lodge'. You know that feeling once you've seen it. It's kinda like how a really big basement converted into a bar in the midwest would feel like. The people were all nice and danced to our music, but since the age of the crowd was quite high, after dinner everyone took off leaving just a few people at the bar for the last two sets.
