March 20, 2008 - I decided to try a new place for lunch today, rather than Buffalo Wild Wings. I went to Pancheros, a new mexican place over on Ulmerton Road. The food is very similar to Chipotle, the way you order is similar to Chipotle, the pricing is similar to Chipotle, and it is almost as good as Chipotle. But something was missing, it didn't have the sizzle and spice that Chipotle has. I would rate this between Chipotle and Moe's. When I got home from work Ellie made dinner for me, one of those frozen bags of chicken parmasean that you basically just simmer until it is heated up. It was awful. I had bought this one made by Birds Eye, after having tried a Bertolli one. The Birds Eye brand was a few dollars cheaper, and it is obvious why. The quality of food was so much lower. Mike came over for a round of disc golf, then I had to take him over to Play it Again Sports for a baseball glove. I went to the gym after that on my own, and later in the evening Ellie called me on her way home from class. I was hungry since I had done lots of gym stuff and didn't eat much dinner, so she picked up some food from Chilis on the way in.
