January 7, 2008 - Back to work. This past weekend wasn't long enough. Following back to back short weeks makes a regular 2 day weekend not long enough. I went to the bank at lunch time and opened up a new bank account for Ellie and I to share. It will be easier than her writing me checks for our expenses. I also checked into refinancing our house. I think we can save about $75 a month by refinancing. This should also offset an increase in our property taxes and not having to pay our mortgage for a month will be nice too. Ellie and I went to her moms after work for dinner. She made nachos and we watched a little of the OSU-LSU championship football game. We stopped at Uncle Jim's apartment on the way home to pick up some cash that he had collected for me for some instruments I sold, and then went home to play with the puppies before bed.
