February 4, 2008 - I called in sick today. It has been a long time since I called in sick, and with the weekend I had, I think I deserved the day off to recover some more and stay away from my coworkers to keep people from getting sick. Mike and I took the canoe out in the morning and I repeated my process of kleenex and paddling. At least out on the water I was getting some fresh air, rather than being trapped inside. We didn't find any discs. Ellie wasn't feeling good either so she called in sick, and we spent the afternoon painting the living room. We chose "Chatham Green". The color swatch didn't look much like green, but I liked the way it looked, so we went with it. As we were painting the wall I went from not liking it to really not liking it to kind of being ok to it. Finally after we were done and the paint dried, two things happened. It suddenly looked kind of green, and I liked it. What a transformation. By the end of the day my nose was feeling much better. I guess the day off helped me a lot.
