February 3, 2008 - Super Bowl Sunday. I find it humorous how all of a sudden everyone you've never heard talking about football is suddenly an expert. Either an expert on the two teams playing, or an expert on commercials and what it takes to make a funny or effective one. I started and ended the day with a runny nose, but I wasn't going to let it ruin my day. Jamie came over and we decided to take the canoe out to hunt for some disc golf discs. I armed myself with a pocket of kleenex and we put the boat out in Taylor Lake. When we got to the other side where we would find discs, there was someone there already with a boat pulling up discs, and someone on the shore that introduced me to "the golden retriever", which is apparently a metal gadget that can be thrown into the water to pull discs out from the shore. I was disappointed, but not down and out. Instead, we pulled the boat back to the car, and drove to Cliff Stevens Park. We dropped the boat in the water there, and managed to find 5 discs. It was a pretty good day for finding discs, with low wind and decent visibility. I went home and took a nap, as my nose was getting rambunctious again. Eventually I got dressed and we went to my sisters for her Super Bowl party. We didn't stay a long time because my nose was not happy about not being in my bed.
