April 20, 2008 - I started the day off like my typical Sunday with the weekly clipping of coupons and making breakfast for Ellie and I. Today it was mini cinnamon buns. There was an ad in the paper for a grill at Lowes, marked down from $169 to $149. I combined this with a $10 coupon from slickdeals.net and it was a pretty sweet price for a nice grill. Even sweeter, it ended up being an early birthday present from my parents. My mom went with me to Lowes to pick it up, which was quite a task since it was already assembled and my car is not big enough for it. We got it home safely, and then I took the old grill out to the curb. The old grill disappeared within 2 hours. I got a haircut from Brenda and Ellie in the afternoon, and hit the gym by myself while Ellie entertained Brenda. We went to church at St Jerome, then to my parents for my sisters birthday dinner...which my sister was not able to attend since she got hit by a car while crossing the street from the beach. Since there were few details and it had just happened, we ate dinner and then went to the hospital to see what was going on. She is mostly ok other than a few broken ribs, but is going to stay in the hospital overnight. Ellie and I went home, ran the dogs around the school board, watched Iron Chef, and went to bed.
