June 6, 2007 - Ellie and I were exhausted from being out so late last night, and didn't get up until 10:30 AM. We were planning to meet some friends from General Cable but they cancelled on me for lunch. Instead, we met up with Jake at Mount Adams Bar and Grill. After lunch we continued to Kentucky to play a round of disc golf at Pride Park. It was a lot rougher than I remembered it. The grass has overgrown many of the holes. I ended up +9. We continued toward Cincinnati, stopping at the Party Source to pick up some beer and lottery tickets for my dad. Then we went to the Theodore M. Berry International Friendship Park on the river. They added a new sculpture since the last time I was there. It is at the very end of the park. The sculpture is somewhere between 50 and 100 feet tall, with a spiral staircase running up the middle. Unfortunately, there is no way to get to the staircase, which is a bummer. I was hoping to climb to the top. We walked down to the L&N Bridge and walked up to the middle. It was getting close to 6 so we headed down to Party in the Park at Yeatmans Cove. Maggie, Tara, Dave, Jacob, and Jessica all showed up (with some of their friends as well) to see me before I left town. We all headed over to Don Pablos after a bit to get dinner. Ellie and I didn't get home until about 10:30 PM, and still had to pack our bags for our journey tomorrow.
