June 4, 2007 - Ellie and I toured around Cincinnati today. We started by going downtown, via Norwood to Hyde Park to Eden Park. In Eden Park we stopped at the Krohn Conservatory. The butterfly show was going on so one of the wings was closed for that. We continued past my old apartment on Fulton Avenue, and continued into Mount Adams. From there it was lunch time so we went downtown to Fountain Square. The fountain had been relocated a few feet from its previous location, and the stage had been removed. The grand opening of the square had already happened several months back but it looked like there was still a lot of work to do. We ate at Skyline on 4th Street, and on the way back to the car walked through the new and very impressive Government Square, where the buses pick up passengers from downtown. We continued across the Suspension Bridge into Kentucky and went to Banklick to play disc golf. They had expanded the course to 27 holes. Ellie and I both played. I ended up at +5, which I am not sure is good compared to my previous play here, since this was the first time I had played all 27 holes. We got back in the car and headed to Cincinnati to get some ice cream at Graeters on Ludlow Street in Clifton. From there we drove through the Gaslamp District towards I-75, heading north to Meijer in West Chester. I picked up a number of things for my dad. We drove by the house I grew up in, and then went to my friend Grant's new house. He took us out to dinner at LaRosa's Pizza. From there it was a drive back to Loveland to meet up with Kavia and Chris. We went to some dive bar in Loveland to have a few drinks. I played Chris in pool, and then we went back home to go to sleep.
