March 8, 2006 - I was out of bed at 6:30 AM, which is quite early for me, having just gotten back from Phoenix (and its time zone) a few days ago. I showered, drove to Laurens, and by 8:30 I was in the St Pete Times Forum for a motivational seminar. The event tickets were $225 (according to the ticket) but I got the ticket free from work yesterday. During the seminar I got to hear from a lot of famous speakers, including Colin Powell, Rudy Guiliani, and George Foreman. It was a long day in the cold arena (I'm pretty sure they just put the floor right over the top of the ice which is used for hockey games), but certainly a motivational one. Lauren and I met for dinner afterwards, driving separately to International Mall where we skipped the long line at Cheesecake Factory for the no wait at The Bamboo Club. I had my favorite, Malia's Spicey Chicken, and Lauren had the same. We also had a bowl of gelato after dinner, at another restaurant. It was delicious. I got home around 8:30 and then did some cleaning, laundry, and work on my computer.
