February 8, 2006 - Originally my plan was to spend part of the day on a shore excursion with my parents. However, I bailed on that because I didn't take the time to go to the shore excursion office and find out what deals they could work out for me. Instead, my parents and I rode a taxi to downtown, did some shopping and sightseeing, and then returned to the ship for lunch. After lunch we did more shopping around the port, and walked to Krystal for a beer by the beach. The main event for today was going to the Pinnacle Grill. This restaurant is the premier food place on the ship, with a $20 cover charge per person to get in. I had been waiting to dine here since I got on the ship 4 months ago, waiting for the best time. Tonite was that time. We invited Francios, the music director, to join us for dinner. It was an incredible meal. I haven't eaten this much or this great of food in a long time. The quality compared to the food in the Lido is much higher. I was stuffed by the end of the meal, a feeling I haven't felt in a while.
