February 6, 2006 - My parents and I spent the day in Cabo San Lucas. I was able to get off the ship early today because they were here. Normally I would have to wait until "open tender" is called for the whole ship, which is the signal for crew to be allowed off the ship. We went into Cabo around 9:45 AM and got on board a water taxi which took us on a 45 minute tour of the nearby rock formations. I had seen all these same things from catamarans and pirate ships, but the water taxi was able to get even closer than those bigger ships. I also was able to show my parents Bully, the bulldog at the internet cafe that I frequent, later in the afternoon. We did a lot of walking. It reminded me of when I was little and we took a family vacation to Washington DC. I remember my dad made us all do SO MUCH walking beyond what I had ever walked before. Now the tables are turned and I'm in great shape for lots of walking, but my parents are getting older and can't walk like they could when they were in their 40's.
