April 10, 2006 - Today marked the first day of carpooling with my sister, Anna. She drove today. I had to be at work at 8 AM for a regular Monday morning meeting, so we left with plenty of time for that. The meeting started as scheduled, but I don't think that the intention was for it to last more than an hour. It did, and ran into the time slotted for another meeting, so it had to be cut 'short' so that people could go call into the conference call meeting. I wasn't a part of the call in meeting, so I got to work. Anna was anxious to get home. I think she only works 7.5 hour days, which is going to make carpooling difficult, since I will probably be working 8.5 hour days. On the way home I usually take Ulmerton Road, but Anna said she wanted to take the next road north, since "there are 3 lanes the whole way". Well, those 3 lanes were filled to the brim with traffic the whole way, and it took over 45 minutes to get home. It essentially didn't save any time, and was a big mess. I'm not going to be taking that way any time soon when I'm doing the driving!
