I guess I had been wondering where my career was going for a while now, and when year after year passed without getting a pay raise, and then my manager changed, and suddenly I found myself working 10 hours or more a day, and I was finally feeling stress about the work I was doing, I realized that I was not in the right place. On March 12th I resigned from General Cable, with the intention of moving to Florida and trying to get a cruise ship musician job. My years at General Cable were fun, but it was clear that I wasn't going to go anywhere without taking things into my hands. So I did.
