The first wedding of the year was my friend Tom Crookham, who got married in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I had to fly from Tampa to Chicago for the wedding. In Chicago, I stayed the night with my friend Ron Jackups, and then we drove to the wedding in his car. Tom and I have been friends since the summer of 1997, when I joined the band T. Crookham and the Accidentals. The same goes for Ron. They were both in the band. Tom married a girl named Angela that he had only known for a year or so...it was quite a surprise to hear they were getting married, but it was a very fun wedding.
