May 24, 2005 - There are several groups of skaters in Tampa Bay that meet on various nites. I've been doing the Thursday nite skate fairly regularly now because it is close and the group is great. I thought I would check out the Tampa skate because I heard it is a fun skate. The group was only 10 people including me. The roads were rough. They skated far and fast with few breaks. I did like the people who were skating and we went by some really cool places like Hyde Park, Ybor City, and through Tampa. I don't know if I'll be back regularly though, since there are some blues jams I want to check out still on Tuesday nites and the roads were pretty rough on my skates.
