March 27, 2005 - Today started my 'eating healthy' lifestyle. I didn't really get it started until the evening, since I didn't eat lunch, and my breakfast consisted of pop tarts and a brownie. But for dinner, I had yogurt, pistachios, chicken, rice, and red peppers, and strawberries with my homemade whipped cream and lime juice. It was all quite good, and I think a lot more balanced than what I usually eat. I still have a long way to go to get to the right balance of vegetables, fruit, bread, and meat, but I think I'm going in the right direction. My shopping at Kroger earlier today was definitely influenced by my desire to change my eating habits from high carb to something other than high carb.
