January 2, 2004 - I woke up around 10 AM. The first action item for today was to have lunch with my parents and Barb. We ate at the Green Iguana. On the way back to my parents house, my dad kept stopping at different places, like a park, places on the beach, Walgreens, etc, and it took us about 2 hours to get home. I got back into my car with Barb right after returning and we went to Clearwater Beach to walk around for a bit. We also went to Madeira Beach and played putt-putt. I dominated the game from the start. Barb must bring out my most competitive game. Back at my parents, we played a few games of shuffleboard before dinner. My mom made lasagna. There was some mis-communication over dinner. I found out through my sister that my mom was making dinner for me, rather than directly from my mom. That means the information had to travel over 2000 miles to get to me about dinner, since my sister is up in Ohio. Barb and I continued our adventure by driving to St Petersburg to finish up our trip. I showed her the pier, and then we walked around Bay Walk. Barb had her first martini ever, and had it at the perfect place to start...The Martini Bar. Some guy came in alone with a cigar, ordered a bud light, and asked if 'the game' was going to be on Tv in there. The bartender said no, and then he asked if he was in Dan Marinos (which was the bar next door). This guy was clearly in the wrong place. Barb and I went home, packed up the car a bit, and then went to bed.
