March 4, 2004 – Today was full of activity. The morning flew by with the bi-weekly engineering meeting. I didn’t get to eat lunch until 1:30 because I went to my apartment to let the cable guy in to get everything set up. I drove through Mount Adams to get there, which made it a nice drive, certainly nicer than driving past the Mad Frog on my usual drive home. The cable was hooked up and I returned back to work. The afternoon took its toll on me and rather than staying at work until my soccer game, I decided to do some shopping. I bought a mattress set at some store called “Cheap Beds and Furniture”. Sure, it’s good to find a good deal, but I think the name might be keeping some people out of the store. After that I went to Lowe’s and bought a few light fixtures and light switch covers to replace some of the ones in my apartment. When I got to my apartment I started setting up the TV and stereo. Steve Gentry stopped by and was able to get my router set up to start displaying my web site again, now I just need to update my host with the new IP address. LaRosa’s pizza got delivered, I ate a few slices, and then I went to my soccer game, stopping on the way to pick up some Gatorade. Gatorade has a new type out called “X” which is pretty good. The game was at 11 PM, which is the last game of the night, and always makes it tough to get up in the morning. We lost, 5-2. I went home, showered, and then read a little before bed.
