March 19, 2004 - Today was my first sick day of the year. I can't believe I made it all the way to March without getting sick. I guess I wasn't technically sick today but I did have a lot of stuff to get done which necessitated the sick day. I installed a bunch of lights in my house, hung up photos, put together my bed which was delivered, and generally straightened up my house. In the evening I had Chuck, Anna, and Tom Crookham over for dinner. I cooked up some meat-free spaghetti for a Lenten Friday and we also had breadsticks, salad, and wine. Everything tasted great to me. The initial plan was to go to the Coldstone Creamery in Mt. Adams, but for some reason it was closed. Instead, we went to the one in Clifton. I had Chocolate Devotion. It was pretty good. After returning back to my apartment, everyone else left, and I went up to Mason where I met Kavia, Kelly, and Rachel at Wal Mart. I didn't do any shopping. I took Kavia and Kelly to the district band contest at Mason High School. I got to see Lakota East and Lakota West. I was impressed somewhat by East, but it was clear that the better band is West once West took the stage. They play with a lot more dynamic contrast, and the overall sound was more professional. I returned home to bed before midnite. Tonite was the first nite that I had my bed on a frame. It is a really nice bedframe, but man, oh was it expensive.
