January 7, 2004 - My alarm went off at 6:50 AM and I as usual clicked snooze and thought I selected for it to go off again in 20 minutes, but I didn't notice it again until 7:24, which was later than I expected to get up. Last night I showered which meant that I didn't have to shower in the morning, saving me some time, but I was still out of my house at 7:45. I need to try to leave at 7:30 so that I can get to work before 8 more regularly. The morning went by quickly. I gave my co-op a large assignment so that he would have stuff to work on between the smaller assignments that I give him. At lunch I talked my boss into joining me in the cafe, where we sat with Roman and Peter. A debate about the best retaurants ensued. Peter has a good knowledge of just about any famous restaurant, and experience to back it up, so I had to trust his judgement. Plus, he ruled that Ohio University is the biggest party school. Who can argue with that? When lunch was over I got back to work, finishing up around 5:25 before driving home to pick up the citrus my parents gave me that they wanted delivered to our relatives. I delivered the fruit and then went up to Tri-County to meet Vanessa for dinner. On the way I tried to get my oil changed at two different places but one was closing and the other didn't seem to be working very hard, so I skipped out on that and went straight to dinner with Vanessa. We ate at Don Pablo's before trading backrubs back at her place. She apparently didn't want me around very long so I went home and packed up Christmas stuff. I also took a few minutes to inspect my garage door, which Josh said was broken. One of the springs has broken, so it needs to be repaired. That is my assessment.
