January 14, 2004 - I woke up and showered, the got to work. For the second day in a row I had to scrape frost off my windshield. I hate scraping frost off my windshield. If I never have to do it again I will be happy. I suspect I will have to do it again tomorrow. The day at work was filled with meetings. First, an impromptu meeting in the morning was with my boss and I in his office. He reeled me in before I even took off my coat, and we worked on something until it was time to go to a meeting in the office next door. Then we went back into his office, and then we went to a meeting in the senior vice presidents office. Then I went back to my desk and finally got a little bit of work done before meeting the lab co-ops for lunch and basketball. I won a game of horse, extending my dominance on the basketball court to several games. Following lunch I had a little time before another meeting, which was scheduled to last an hour. It lasted two hours. Then I ended up spending even more time talking to people and solving problems. The best moment of the day was when someone from inside sales told me that they think I do an awesome job and they are glad that I work there. That made my day. I left around 6:10 PM to meet Vanessa Lee at my house for dinner. We drove in my car to Covington. We ate at Applebees on the river. I have scientifically determined that it is not the combination of kiwi lemonade and chicken tenders that give me stomach problems. The problem has clearly been identified as...Applebees itself. If anyone can confirm this problem I would like to hear from them. LeAnne invited me over after dinner to watch UC beat Marquette in basketball. Then I went home and sat around.
