February 8, 2004 - I woke up really early today! Usually I like going to church in the evening and telling Amy about how I woke up at 11 or noon and didn't do anything all day, but instead today I woke up at 8 AM. I did some minor cleaning and then surfed around the internet until I left to tour a house. The house was over in Norwood. It was a pretty decent house but I think I'm more interested in apartment living now, for a few reasons. I can rent a nicer apartment than what I can buy in a house, and I can use the money from my current house to invest in something else, like stocks or a really cheap house that I will rehab. Back at my house, I got a call from my mom's friend Bev who lives in Wilmington but owns a house still in Hyde Park. She may rent the house to me, so I went over and looked at the house. It was very similar to my current house, but two stories, and in Hyde Park about 2 blocks from Hyde Park Square, which is the most prime spot in the city. If I lived there, I would want to get a dog, and jog around the neighborhood every day. Josh and I went to the Wine Merchant on the way home. I bought 4 different bottles of wine, Josh got 1. The difference between us is that he will drink his entire bottle today, and I'll take at least 2 weeks to drink all mine. I dropped Josh at home, and then went to church. It's been a while since I've been to church. John Vennemeyer brought his much-hyped Yamaha EWI. I was impressed with his playing but not with its sounds. It sounded way too electronic for my taste. After mass I returned home, ate some ABC's and 123's, and got started on an Australian bottle of wine. Josh had predictably already finished his wine.
