February 19, 2004 - Today the business team meeting lasted for an hour and a half. This ate up a good chunk of the morning. I had lunch by myself since I brought in left-over pizza and everyone else went out to lunch. I did end up getting in some basketball with Tim on the tail end of the lunch hour. My Thursday soccer game was at 6 PM today, which meant that I wouldn't be hanging out at work very long today. We played Lori Palmer's team. She's another General Cable employee. They beat us by a good margin, but I had fun. The team got in our respective cars and drove back up to Highland Heights to meet at BW3's. We hung out there for a while and then I drove home. I made arrangements to meet up with Kavia and Chris to catch a show at Jack Quinn's in Covington. First up in the line-up was a Reggae band, lead by a keyboard player who looked and sounded like Snow (the song Informer was his biggest hit). After a short pause the Walker Project took the stage. Carol and Chris mezmorized just like they always do with their soulful yet poppy sound. I wasn't particularly digging Chris's flanged bass sound on the first song, and he must not have either because he didn't stick with it. I drove back home as midnight approached and went to bed.
