February 18, 2004 - Wednesdays come and go. This one was somewhat more exciting than the last one. I worked until 5:30 and then played racquetball with Shannon Woodsmall from work. She managed to win the third game we played, but I should be able to come back from the loss in our next meeting. I drove home and ordered pizza from LaRosa's to be delivered. Wednesday nite is blues open jam night at Camel Mike's in Latonia, KY. I know one of the guys in the house band (Steve Masters), so I drove down there and joined them in 4 songs. We played Shake Rattle and Roll, and three other songs I wasn't particularly familiar with. My solos were decent. I had brought my alto along. It seemed to work with this group. I may show up again next week. My next planned event was to meet Mike Morgan at the Blue Wisp for our second weekly big band listening session. Tara, his girlfriend was there, along with Anna and Matt Dragovich. Anna is one of my Monday night jazz students. We were up there until just before midnight, at which point we all left to our respective homes. I got to bed around 1 AM.
