February 15, 2004 - I was at the NKU rec center right at noon today. First thing, I ran a mile. Next, I checked out a basketball and shot around for a while. I put up a LOT of bricks. I am used to the hoop we have at work which is slightly sloped, with a very forgiving backboard and rim. Then about twenty minutes later I went back up to the track, ran just about another mile, and went home. I showered all the sweat off of me and then grilled up a steak for lunch. It wasn't quite as good as the one I made last night, but it was still pretty good. I just needed to cook it a while longer and it would have been better. The other day I picked up an apartment guide at Kroger and I just now got around to looking at it. There is a pretty nice looking apartment somewhere down in Northern Kentucky, so I called them up, found out that it wasn't obscenely expensive, so I drove down there to check out the place. When I got there (South of Florence Mall), I found out that I had to have my drivers license with me. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but since I went to the rec earlier, I forgot to take my wallet out of my gym bag, so I was without license. I didn't get to look at the apartments because of this. With some time on my hands, and an interest in seeing an apartment, I drove over to Eden Park in Cincinnati to see if there were any apartments nearby that might interest me. I discovered one that was right on the edge of the park. I called the number, and the guy who owned it just happened to be in the area. The price was right, it was in a prime location, and it will probably be big enough to accomodate me, so I think I'm going to rent it. I'm going to sleep on the decision first though. Josh and I went down to the Party Source, but since it was Sunday they weren't selling any alcohol. What's up with that? That law seems deeply rooted in the 1800's. I drove to church and the mass went well. Afterwards, I got ahold of Steve Gentry and we met up for dinner at Don Pablo's. I got stuffed on two soft tacos, and came home to relax after a long weekend.
