February 13, 2004 - I was up at work at 7:30 AM, placing a rose and some candy on each of the girls desks back in the lab. They were all pleasantly surprised to see this. Bonus points for me! I ate lunch with a bunch of people from the lab and also Kim. We ate at O'Charley's. I had the Chipotle Chicken Tenders. This was probably the best thing I've had at O'Charley's. In the evening after work I drove to Royal Oak Country Club and played a three hour jazz gig. The group sounded pretty good. At one point in the second set the crowd took over, karaoki-ing to their favorite old time jazz standards. They seemed to like us a lot so hopefully that will get us back up there again in the near future. It was a good paying gig, so I can never turn that down! I had wanted to go see The Walker Project after my gig, but I didn't get out of there until 10:45, and by then I was getting tired. I was also hungry, so to satisfy my hunger I got some White Castle. Wow, it should be illegal to eat that stuff right before bed...
