April 19, 2004 - The alarm in my room was set for 6:45 AM with the intention of getting up early and showing up at plant. I didn't end up getting out of bed until 7:15 AM, showered, and headed down to check out. It was fine that I didn't depart for the plant early, since Jack Molony was in the lobby; he hadn't yet departed for the plant yet either. We waited for Greg Lampert, and then I followed the two of them to Dunkin Donuts and then to the plant. We spent the day getting trained on Power Pack. Power Pack is a process for completing projects. The idea is that there are stages that have to be completed and gates where the stages are checked to ensure completion. The entire process could be considered a big hassle full of paperwork, but I think that it could be useful to ensure that projects get the proper attention needed, and if projects fail, we can identify where the breakdown occurred. Lunch was provided, and we were done with the training by 3 PM. I followed Greg and Jack to the airport. I was able to take a short nap before the flight, and then we took off on time. My next flight was delayed a bit and that deterred me from making it back to Cincinnati when I was expecting. I was about 15 minutes late meeting Mike Morgan and Tara B down at the Blue Wisp. We didn't stick around very long, instead travelling to Waffle House for some food. I didn't get home until about 1 AM, and my place is a mess. I guess I'll have to do some cleaning tomorrow.
