April 16, 2004 - I wore jeans to work today for jeans day. Usually everyone asks me if I forgot that it was jeans day since I typically keep wearing khaki's on a jeans day. Todayy my motivation for wearing jeans to work was so that I wouldn't have to change clothes later on when I went out in the evening. Still, the jeans I wore to work had a hole in the back that someone noticed and felt the need to point out. I wasn't ashamed though, since all of my jeans have holes in them in one place or another. Maybe it is time for me to get some new jeans. I had some computer problems in the morning that kept me from accessing my calendar. During lunch I went with Tim, Brian, Ken, and Joe to Chipotle on Beechmont Avenue. The burritos are definitely better than taco bell quality food, but not something I want to eat every day. The sun was out and the weather was absolutely perfect when I left work. I had time to wash the dishes and make my bed before my sister came over. We walked around the park and then she sewed a button onto a pair of my pants. Nick and Luke Brunck showed up around 7:30 PM. My sister left, and I drove with the Brunck's down to Newport on the Levee. We ate at Claddah. While we were supposed to eventually get a call from Nick's sister Denise, she never called, so we ended up walking to York Street Cafe without her. There, we met up with Maggie Wesley and Carmen. I had a great time talking to Carmen. She's been to or lived in or knows a good amount about most of the places I travel to. The bands we saw sounded good. The first band was from Chicago and they did some off the wall stuff but I liked it enough to buy their CD. I got back home around 2 AM and went to bed.
