April 15, 2004 - I drove my new 2004 Pontiac Vibe into work today for the first time. It was pretty uneventful since I was running somewhat late for work. I showed a number of people at work my car, including my cousin Chris whom I met for lunch at the Barrelhouse Brewery. We hadn't had lunch together for a while so it was a nice change to get into downtown Cincinnati at lunch time. The other big event of the day was that this was the first day that I had a new computer at work. The biggest upset was not being able to customize the background with one of my photos. The best discovery made was that by removing the clock from the desktop, the day goes a lot faster. I worked until after 6 and then went with my co-op to Dick's Sporting Goods to buy some spiked shoes for soccer. We lost the soccer game 9 to 0 which was disappointing somewhat since we didn't score at all, but I still got a lot of good exercise and it is enjoyable playing with this team. After the game I went home and showered and then dropped my taxes off at the post office. It turns out they want you to sign the form when you send it in. I got mine back in the mail saying they would appreciate me signing it before I send it in again. Then I dropped in at the Greenwich which is right around the corner from where I live. I had heard about this place but never been there before. I can safely say it is in one of the seediest intersections in Cincinnati. Just to be defiant to intuition, it was very swanky inside. I met up with some friends from Cincinnati Tomorrow. Eventually I decided to go over to Rohs Street Cafe and hear some live jazz music and do some writing, before bed time.
