March 7, 2003 - Another Friday, another BUSY Friday. Friday is notorious as the day that I do all the work that either I was putting off for the week or the day that I do all the work that everyone else was putting off sending me until Friday. I ended up leaving work at 4:50 so that I could pick up 2 speakers and 2 speaker stands at Barrett Groh's house in Covington. They are Tim Waters' speakers but Barrett keeps them at his place. I need to borrow them for the gig my band is doing on Sunday and since I will be heading out of town for the rest of the weekend this is my only chance to get them. Back at my house I made a few phone calls, packed my stuff for the weekend, and then when Vanessa Lee showed up at 6:40 we drove to Athens, OH to visit my cousin. On the way out we stopped for gas and dinner. Our arrival time in Athens was around 10 PM. I had a good time mixing drinks and talking to my cousin Chris and also Jake Mecklenborg who was at Chris's house when I got there. The reason for the gathering is that Chris is graduating in a few weeks and this was his graduation party. Around 1:45 AM I fell asleep, exhausted from a long day of work, driving, and drinking (but no drinking and driving).
