March 30, 2003 - Last night Janet invited me to come to her church for the 11:30 mass and at the time I told her that I wasn't going to be able to make it. However, I realized that this was the first thing that she had asked me to do, so I thought it would be nice to be there for her. I got up at 10 AM and by the time I was ready it was time to drive up to Montgomery to St Barnabas Church. I hadn't told Janet that I was coming so it was a surprise to her to see that I was sitting in the pews after the service. I figured she would see me during the service since there were only a handful of people in the decently large church but she didn't spot me until the end. I invited her to lunch but first we drove to my parents house to drop off the tickets my sister would be using tomorrow at the Reds game. Janet got to meet my parents and I think everyone got along well. We ate lunch at a very crowded Cincinnati-Dayton Road Frisches. Vanilla coke rules! After lunch I had to drive Janet back to her church so that I could get to Queen City for roller hockey by 3 PM. I made it just on time. As it turns out there weren't many people there from the group that I was meeting, but there were already 7 people playing hockey on the court we use. After asking, the 2 other people I was with joined up with the group of 7 and we played 5 on 5 hockey. To make things interesting it just happened to be a group of UC-CCM percussion students. I didn't play particularly bad or good but I had fun and was extremely tired after playing. I went home, took a shower, and then went to church. I made sure to let everyone at church know that I was tired because I had played hockey less than an hour prior to showing up. After church Janet came over and I drove us up to Kroger on Mitchell Avenue. I got supplies for dinner and back at home we cooked up some soft tacos and my famous fruit blender drink. It was all quite nice.
