March 3, 2003 - Aaaaah! I woke up late and didn't get a chance to take a shower. In fact, I woke up so late that it was 9 AM when I finally got to work. I was foolish though, because I sent my boss an email when I woke up telling him that I would be in soon, but when I got there he wasn't at work either. As it turns out he was not coming in that day. That wasn't such a bad thing because I worked until 6 to make up for it; the real problem was that I had a meeting with a vendor and also had to conduct an interview with a potential co-op and here I was looking all ratty from not having taken a shower. On the plus side I chose a good shirt and pants combination so it made up somewhat for the rest of my appearance but I sure did feel like slime all day. Before lunch I got a call from the vendor and he said he was available for lunch so we met up and went to Applebees. I had the lime chicken breast. It was really good. It was so good that I think I am going to permanently switch my regular order of chicken fingers basket to this. We drove back to work and had a meeting, then I conducted my very first interview ever (it went pretty well, but I had trouble keeping the flow and energy high). After work I wasn't really in the mood to do anything so I just sat around and was non-productive for a long time. Finally at 10 PM I decided to do something...I made some brownies and then took a shower. What a great way to end the day!
