March 19, 2003 - Today was a very pleasant day that could have been a disaster or at least not according to schedule. I led a meeting at 11:30 AM at work regarding a new project I am starting up. We are going to add the ability to do FEP jacketing at our Manchester facility and I am going to coordinate all the tasks. The near disaster comes in where I accidentally forgot about the meeting when I invited Janet to lunch with me after her job interview at a nearby hospital. Luckily I was able to keep the meeting short and to the point and we finished just before noon. The receptionist let me know when Janet arrived and when I went out to the lobby to meet her she wasn't there. I thought it was some kind of hoax but she went down to the bathroom while I was walking to the lobby. We met up and I took her to Applebees after I stopped at the post office to mail out my student loan check. I need to get it set up for auto withdraw from my bank account so I don't have to keep sending these monthly checks. I had the fiesta lime chicken from Applebees which is quickly becoming my favorite thing to get there. It is such a perfect combination of chicken, rice, tortilla chips, lime, and cheese! After dropping Janet off at her car in the General Cable parking lot and then going back to work I survived a slow afternoon. In the evening I played some trumpet and started to do laundry. Janet called and said she was on her way over. It was raining so we couldn't go out anywhere. We ended up getting pizza from LaRosa's and watching Fantasia on tape. Janet left around 11:30 PM and that was the end of a good day.
