March 14, 2003 - Today completed the trifecta of work laziness because I did not shave again before going to work. I'm going to mark it down as acceptable since my boss didn't shave on Thursday. 2 out of 5 isn't bad anyway! It will get a passing grade in an Engineering class. I finished up my goal/task of completing a review of all of the quotes that were being made for a big new customer of ours. Also I got good news about a product that we had to submit for testing because it was in non-compliance. The good news was I was able to find test records that showed that it would be alright and instead of having to perform tests we could just submit the test records. At lunch Tim and I went to his house to see the two new dogs that he got. He had just gotten them the night before and apparently they were pooping machines. Confined to his kitchen they had completely gone through the trash, went all over the floor and generally made the house smell bad. After he spent 30 minutes cleaning up after then we had a few minutes to play horseshoes in his back yard. I won 5 to 3 but there were no ringers so it was a bittersweet victory. The afternoon drug on at a slow pace so when 4:30 rolled around and I saw my boss was gone I also left. It was such a great day outside, in fact the first good day of the year, so Steve Gentry and I met up at Mt. Airy to play a round of disc golf. It was pretty soggy in some areas but I didn't get too much mud on my feet on the way to a round of 2 under (playing par 4's) for a final score of 70. This may be one of my best scores at Mt. Airy. Steve didn't play as well, scoring a 11 over. Back at home I was full of energy so I grabbed my rollerblades and went to Eden Park to skate around the lake. I ended up doing 5 laps around the lake before darkness completely set in. Once again back at home I made some spaghetti for Josh Stromberg and I and then decided to take on the task of moving my laundry which was sitting on the couch in the basement up into my room. This was a pretty big task because just about everything I owned was on that couch! 5 trips upstairs later it was all in my room. However, I was not able to get everything folded up or hung up by the time 9:40 rolled around and Janet called. I left a big pile of clothes on my bed and went to Janet's place where we just sat around and talked for a while. I had hoped to go see Homonculous at midnight but she wasn't really in the mood to go out. Oh well.
