March 10, 2003 - Shaving is not that important when I wake up in the morning as long as I don't care about looking like I am starting to grow a beard. Monday is the perfect day to not shave because I don't have any recurring meetings at work and I don't usually have anything going on after work. Also, I typically am recovering from a long weekend so I tend to wake up late in the morning on Monday. All these factors contributed to me taking a shower but opting out of the shaving portion of the 'getting Tom dressed and to work' competition. Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose. Today was more or less a win, but not with honors. Work was extremely busy. I had another one of those daily 'we need you to do more because we've made commitments to the customer' talks that really just end up wasting an hour of my day, and used my lunch to eat with Kim Thompson. She talked me into Goldstar Chili even though I am a big fan of Skyline. The rest of the day went smoothly although somewhat high on the stress meter because I was working hard with no breaks until 5:25. After work I grilled some steak which turned out incredibly good and then drove up to my sisters future apartment in Reading. It is a pretty neat place. Her and Chuck have a lot of work to do but once they get everything cleaned up and painted it will be a great apartment. Other than that there wasn't much going on today.
