January 28, 2003 - At work I attended 2 meetings and went to Penn Station for lunch (not in that order). That managed to consume my day. At home I finished up the drywall on the ceiling in the kitchen. Mike Cloppert left his trombone at my house so I called him to tell him that I was taking it to band practice and then drove to Lowe's up in Tri-County to get the metal corner strip stuff for the ceiling. It barely fit in my car. From Lowe's I drove to band practice at Sam Schutte's. I was a little early so I played a few Squirrel Nut Zippers songs for Brian and had him show me how to play the drum beats. Practice was consumed with announcements, working on a new song, and then discussing our contract. When I returned home I grilled some hamburgers at 10:30 pm and then finished up the ceiling by putting up the corner strip with Steve. Now it is ready for the mud to be applied.
