January 17, 2003 - The struggle to wake up on time to go to work led to no shower but I made it on time through hotel checkout and to work. The struggle continued at work as I tried to get the coax line operator to do something but he had a meeting and then spent a lot of the morning rounding up food orders for other operators. At the same time I was struggling with Airborne Express trying to get them to tell me where a package was that was supposed to arrive two days earlier. I found at around noon that it wouldn't arrive until at least next Monday. Finally I was able to make a modification to the process on our coax line which should save the company a little more than $3,000 a year. Lunch was at Hooters in Manchester. We had a really hot girl as our waitress. The guys I went with seemed to know her really well. My flight back to Cincinnati was routine. The next struggle I encountered was at my car. I had taken the ice scraper out of the back seat less than a week ago and forgot to put it back in. There was 3 inches of snow on my car that I had to remove with my hands. I got off the minimum amount and then let the wind do the rest as I drove home.
