January 16, 2003 - The bed was pretty comfortable that I slept in and the room was a little chilly in the morning so it was difficult to get out of bed but I did manage to get into the shower (which took about 3 minutes to heat up to a warm enough temperature) before work. The shower kept heating up while I was in there and I had to turn it down before it scalded me. Work was pretty uneventful, with another day wasted by my package not arriving. I drove to Boston after work with not much gas in the tank. Since I arrived there an hour early I decided to drive around downtown but I kind of didn't know where I was going and the city is pretty big. Additionally there are no gas stations in the city at all. Well, there was one, and I found it just before I ran out of gas. I made it to Rob's new apartment magically. It was magic because I had directions but didn't use them. I just sort of stumbled upon his place. We went to MIT to get Laurie Waters and then had dinner at some restaurant. The burger and fries were great. Then we met one of Rob's old roommates and headed to the Cantab Lounge. The most eventful occurrence there was when someone walked in with a ukulele and tried playing along with the band on the stage. I made it in bed by 1:30am.
