February 3, 2003 - Josh Speakman woke me up on his way to work at 8:30 so I got out of bed (actually got off the couch) and took a shower. Then Josh Stromberg showered and we drove to Hilton Head Island. Unfortunately we arrived there a little earlier than planned and it wasn't exactly lunch time. We had to drive around a little to find a place that was serving lunch at 10:30. We had lunch at a diner and then drove to the Lighthouse. It was $5 to get on the street that the lighthouse is on, and then another $1 per person to go up in the lighthouse! We paid it because we drove all this way just to see the stupid thing. It turned out to be pretty non-exciting. We hopped in the car at 12:30 pm and headed back to Cincinnati. Cruising speed for me was around 70 to 75 and Josh kept it going around 80 to 85. In exactly 10 hours we arrived at our door in Cincinnati with a few stops for gas and food. I was delighted to find that Steve had finished the floor in the kitchen. The floor looks absolutely stunning. In fact, it is so good that I am now psyched up to refinish the entire houses wood flooring to the same level of awesomeness. I owe Steve a lot for all the work he did over the weekend (he'll probably get a month of free rent).
