February 17, 2003 - The greatest news in the world is finding out that you can show up to work late. That was spoiled a little when my boss called me at 8:30 am to ask where I was and if I knew that we were able to come in late. See, he had already gone to work because he didn't watch the news and see that we could show up late. It would only make sense that upon realizing this that he wouldn't need to call me and find out that if I was still at home I probably knew that we could go in late. Nevertheless, I ended up sleeping some more after talking to him and then got to work at 9:45, which was earlier than the announced 10:30 arrival time. Immediately upon getting to work I wasn't even able to fire up my computer before I was hounded by him to do this and that and this and all kinds of stuff. The day was just full of chaos. The only thing that made the day end with a delightful resolution was an email at 4:45 saying that we could leave early because of the weather (there was about 8 inches of snow on the ground in the morning, which is why we could show up late). I of course left within the next ten minutes. It was bliss. Back at home I called up Chris Shaw and invited her to do something. We ended up meeting at Encore Cafe in West Chester for some wine and then went over to Hopps which was nearby where we played games at the bar and watched the final episode of Joe Millionaire. It was the only episode I saw and I can't understand why people would have watched more than that one episode. I had a good time hanging out with Chris so maybe we'll get together soon.
