February 15, 2003 - Contrary to my most recent Saturday mornings I awoke before noon. I had to get up to Sharonville to record with Sam. We got all the vocals done. Matt Brady showed up at 2:15 and once we finished up the vocals we started working on guitar parts. His addition to the sound makes a big difference. At 3 I started making phone calls to get everything set up for the night. Back at home I played some drums while Josh played bass, then we went to the Party Source. I found a few new ingredients to work into my repertoire. Then at home I got dressed. Kavia Gowda and Chris Kreitel showed up first. Then Vanessa Lee came over. Toni Price, Josh's date, didn't show up because at this point the roads were covered in ice and she got lost on her way over, so she went home. Kavia, Chris, Vanessa, and I scraped the ice off the Jag (it took about 10 minutes with all of us going at it), and then drove up to Pomedori's Pizza on McMillan St. During dinner some kids kept throwing ice balls at the window right behind us and it was freaking Kavia out. We drove back to my house after dinner to play some cards. Tom Crookham had replaced Toni as Josh's date for the night apparently, because he was over when we got there. The 6 of us went to Clint's house which is right by Cody's Cafe. As it turns out the party he was having ended up not existing because of the ice on the road. So it was the 6 of us, Clint, and one his his female next door neighbors who heard us coming in and wanted to see what was going in. We played darts for a while. Then the night ended when I drove us all back to my place and everyone dispersed back to their homes.
