February 14, 2003 - Valentines Day - I woke up not feeling particularly great so I called in sick to work and went back to sleep. When I woke up after noon the house was quiet so I just sat at my computer, checked my voice mail at work, made a few work calls and then started writing a song for Fisher Effect. LeAnne and I went up to Kenwood Towne Centre so that she could get a frame engraved for her boyfriend. It was raining the whole way up and back. Actually, it was more of a freezing rain. This weekend doesn't look to be too great as far as weather goes. At 5:20 I left for Royal Oak Country Club in Anderson. I met Howie Preston there and we played a 3 hour set of jazz dinner music. Howie is amazing. He can play just about any song in the jazz realm from memory in any key that I want. I got paid $112.50 for the gig which is a big help. This is on top of the $100 check I just got yesterday in the mail for the photos I sold. I drove back home and was supposed to meet up with Toni Price and her friend Roberta at the Blue Note but she didn't have her cell phone on so I stayed home. Josh went up to Cody's Cafe. Matt Dragovich was over visiting Steve so the three of us went to Perkins up 74. When we got back I decided to go up to Cody's to hang out with Josh and spend some of my new money but he wasn't there. I drove home and there was his van, I must have just missed him at Cody's. He actually invited the Czech girls over to our place. They also had another friend, Penny, with them. The three girls and Josh and I all hung out for a while and then I went to bed when everyone left (around 2 AM).
