April 5, 2003 - My alarm went off at 8:30 and I got out of bed. Soon after I called Janet to make sure she was up. We arranged to meet at First Watch up in Norwood at 9:45. I showered and made it up there on time but she said she might be a couple of minutes late. Since it was packed (as usual) I put my name on the list and waited. After about 10 minutes Janet showed up and another 10 minutes later we were seated. For breakfast I had the Tri-Fecta. This is composed of a waffle, sausage, and 2 eggs. I also got some toast on the side for my eggs. What a great meal! Janet had let me borrow her car so that I could drive out to Ripley Union High School for the musical and I swapped her back for my car. It was so nice getting back behind the wheel of a car with some power under the pedal and all the conveniences like power windows, locks, intermittent wipers, and a CD player. Sometimes I think about trading in my car for a cheaper car but it is moments like this that make me glad I have such a nice car. I had considered going up to Home Depot to pick up some supplies for sanding and painting the walls in my recording studio room but the car took me home. Since I was at home I went down into the basement and did a lot of cleaning. I ended up vacuuming and throwing a lot of junk away and generally straightening up the place. I also did some work upstairs but I didn't have time to clean my room up. It has been pretty messy lately. I drove up to my parents house and got my moms car and then went back down to Clifton to wait for Brian and Mike to show up. Brian showed up on time (of course, actually he was a few minutes early) and make called when he should have been arriving to tell us that he would be late. It was very funny how it worked out. Josh, Brian, and I were in my room. I was folding my laundry and they were standing around talking to me. Brian asked where Mike was and I told him that I hadn't heard from him yet but that he would probably be 10 minutes late. Just after saying that the phone rang and I said "There he is". I looked at the caller ID and sure enough it was Cloppert, Mike. I answered on speaker phone "Hey, what's up?". Mike said, "Dude, I'm running late, I'll be there in 10 minutes." I held a laugh inside and then we hung up. Anyway Mike shows up closer to 18 minutes late and we are on our way. I drove pretty fast most of the way and we made it there with 10 minutes to spare. I warmed up and got on stage. The production went quite well. For a high school musical I was impressed at the lack of problems that came up. The mics didn't act up and everyone remembered their lines for the second night in a row. When the musical was over we drove home. The time change was to take effect tonight so it was actually 12:30 rather than 11:30 when we got home, which meant that I wasn't going to get much sleep.
